By accessing or using Yardsong ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Yardsong is a biodiversity tracking application that helps you log species observations, run habitat surveys, and generate biodiversity reports for your property.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
  • Upload malicious content or code
  • Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the Service without permission

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of observations, photos, and other content you submit. By submitting content, you grant us a licence to store, process, and display it as necessary to provide the Service.

6. AI-Generated Content

The Service uses artificial intelligence to assist with species identification and habitat assessment. AI-generated content is provided for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as professional ecological advice. All AI outputs are clearly marked and follow a graduated confidence lifecycle.

7. Availability

We strive to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Yardsong and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Yardsong and its operators from any claims arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Australia.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
